A mother-of-two has shared her recipe for a self-cleaning toilet bomb, and she promises it will make your bathroom smell like a day spa.

Carolina McCauley, from Perth, revealed she swears by the homemade cleaner on TikTok, where she said she uses it once a week in her own bathroom with her family at home (pictured)
You'll need one cup of baking soda, a quarter of a cup of citric acid, essential oils of your choice and a little water.
Carolina recommends you mix it all together inside a glass bowl until it forms a 'damp sand consistency'. 
'Then, just pack the mixture into a silicone mould,' Carolina said, before you let it dry so they come out like ice cubes.
'They smell so good and all you need to do is drop them into the toilet bowl for a fizzy clean,' the mum-of-two said.

The mum-of-two said the dishwasher can easily build up with dirt and grime, so you should prioritise giving it a clean at least once a month to ensure it functions properly.

To clean your machine, Carolina said you should first sprinkle some baking soda into the machine behind the bottom rack.
'Leave the baking soda for one hour so that it absorbs fully,' Carolina said.
Set your machine to a heavy cycle, and then open it midway through the cycle and pour in two cups of white vinegar.
'Resume the cycle until it's complete,' Carolina said.
You should end up with a machine that is clean and free from debris and buildup.
